IIE DIGITAL: Director Atlee’s upcoming pan-India film ‘AA22xA6’ has already sparked considerable excitement among audiences, especially with the fresh pairing of South Indian superstar Allu Arjun and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone. The project marks the first time the two actors will share the screen, adding to the anticipation surrounding the ambitious film.

According to reports, the film’s shoot is expected to begin soon, with Deepika Padukone reportedly committing to an extensive 100-day schedule. A source quoted by Pinkvilla said that the actress has already started preparing for her role and is expected to join the shoot in November. Her schedule will reportedly include a mix of dramatic sequences and large-scale action scenes, with the film presenting her in a completely new avatar alongside Allu Arjun.

Deepika is reportedly set to play a warrior in the film, and the makers are said to be working on specially designed costumes and weapons for her character. The film is also expected to feature both Allu Arjun and Deepika in multiple roles, adding another layer of intrigue to the project.

The shooting is reportedly scheduled to continue until September 2026, while the film could arrive in theatres in the second half of 2027. Allu Arjun has reportedly dedicated his entire schedule to the project and is said to consider it one of the most prestigious films of his career.

‘AA22xA6’ is also significant for director Atlee as it marks his first collaboration with Allu Arjun. The film is being mounted on a massive budget and is expected to be released across India in multiple languages. With a combination of high-octane action, emotional drama and an ambitious storyline, the project is being positioned as a major pan-India spectacle.

For Deepika Padukone, the film will mark an important return to the screen after embracing motherhood. Along with Atlee’s project, she is also set to work on ‘King’, and reports suggest that she will be juggling both films from the latter part of 2026.

Allu Arjun, meanwhile, was last seen in the blockbuster ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, where his portrayal of Pushpa Raj received a massive response from audiences. Apart from ‘AA22xA6’, the actor is also expected to star in a socio-mythological fantasy film directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Fans are also eagerly awaiting his return as Pushpa Raj in the highly anticipated ‘Pushpa 3’.
