IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Washington, May 9:  US President Donald Trump has made a sweeping claim regarding global conflicts, stating that he has played a role in resolving multiple wars and is continuing efforts to bring an end to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Recent statement, Trump said he has “settled eight wars, actually nine, and possibly even ten,” while expressing a strong desire to see peace established between Russia and Ukraine. His remarks come amid continued international concern over the prolonged war between the two countries.

Referring to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Trump said he had urged both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to agree to steps toward reducing violence. He claimed that both leaders had responded positively to certain proposals aimed at limiting hostilities.

Trump, a specific timeframe has been identified during which both sides are expected to pause military actions and reduce casualties. He further stated that both Russia and Ukraine have agreed in principle to exchange prisoners, with reports suggesting that around 1,000 prisoners could be released from each side.
