IIE DIGITAL DESK ; New Delhi, September 23: Oppo is set to expand its K-series smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the new Oppo K14 Plus 5G on September 29. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will be unveiled at 12 noon IST, with the device also set to be sold through Flipkart.

The upcoming handset is being positioned around performance and durability and is expected to bring several significant upgrades to the K-series. Oppo has revealed key specifications and design details ahead of the launch, giving consumers a glimpse of what to expect from the new 5G smartphone.

The Oppo K14 Plus 5G is teased with a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness. The handset is also expected to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, adding to its premium positioning.

Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max chipset. Oppo claims the device has crossed the one-million mark on AnTuTu, indicating a strong focus on performance. The phone will also feature an 8,000mAh battery, aimed at delivering extended usage between charges.

For photography, the Oppo K14 Plus 5G will come with a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation and support for 4K video recording. A 16-megapixel Sony IMX480 front camera is expected to handle selfies and video calls.

The smartphone will also focus heavily on durability. It is confirmed to carry an IP69K rating for protection against dust and water. Oppo is also promoting the device with a 6-Year Smoothness Protection claim and a Damage Proof 360 Armour Body, while a 5,000-square-millimetre VC cooling system is designed to help manage heat during demanding usage.

The handset has been teased in orange and white colour options, with a vertically arranged rear camera module giving it a distinctive design. Pricing and detailed RAM and storage configurations are expected to be announced around the launch.

With its large battery, high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max processor and durability-focused design, the Oppo K14 Plus 5G is set to become a notable addition to the company’s K-series lineup in India.
