IIE DIGITAL DESK : OPPO has officially launched its latest mid‑range smartphone, the OPPO A6s 5G, in the Indian market, marking another expansion of the company’s popular A‑series lineup. This new 5G‑ready model is designed to offer users strong everyday performance, remarkable battery life, and a compelling feature set at an accessible price point. 

The OPPO A6s 5G debuts with a 6,500 mAh battery that the company claims can deliver exceptional endurance for long usage sessions and minimal charging interruptions. Supporting 45W fast charging, the device aims to appeal to users who prioritise power longevity and fast recharge cycles. 

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the A6s 5G promises efficient performance across daily tasks, smooth navigation and basic gaming while staying energy‑efficient. The smartphone runs OPPO’s ColorOS based on Android, custom‑optimised for a balanced mix of utility and responsiveness.

The design of the A6s 5G reflects modern smartphone trends with a 6.75‑inch LCD display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, which delivers smooth visuals for scrolling and media consumption. The panel also boasts high peak brightness levels, contributing to outdoor visibility under bright conditions.

Photography capabilities on the OPPO A6s 5G include a dual rear camera setup led by a 50 MP primary sensor, accompanied by a secondary 2 MP lens, enabling decent imaging performance in daylight and capture scenarios. On the front, a 5 MP selfie camera caters to video calls and casual portraits, rounding out the phone’s imaging features. 

The handset comes in two eye‑catching colour options — Aurora Gold and Plum Purple — and is available in two memory configurations. The base model with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is priced starting at ₹18,999, while the variant with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is listed at ₹20,999 in India.
