
IIE DIGITAL DESK : Vivo has officially launched its new Vivo T5 smartphone in select global markets, introducing a mid-range device focused on long battery life, smooth performance, and durable build quality.
The Vivo T5 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 and is positioned as a budget-friendly offering in Vivo’s expanding T-series lineup.
In terms of display, the smartphone features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1250 nits. The design is simple and functional, with a focus on durability, including IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
For photography, the Vivo T5 comes with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens, while the front houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera designed for clear video calls and social media use.
One of the biggest highlights of the device is its massive 7,200mAh battery, which supports 44W fast charging. Vivo claims this large battery is aimed at users who prioritize long-lasting usage without frequent recharging.
The smartphone is currently available in select markets, including Mexico, and comes in Black and Gold color options. It is offered in a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at approximately MXN 5,799.
