IIE DIGITAL DESK : Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari launched his campaign in Bhabanipur on Thursday, making bold claims that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is headed for another electoral defeat. The campaign kick-off in the high-profile constituency quickly turned into a charged political event, drawing strong attention from supporters and party workers.

Addressing party supporters during his visit to the Bhabanipur constituency in Kolkata, Suvendu Adhikari declared that a major political shift is underway and predicted that Mamata Banerjee could lose by a margin of 25,000 to 30,000 votes. He asserted that the public sentiment was turning strongly against the ruling leadership and described the emerging political wave as a “tsunami” in favour of the opposition.

Adhikari further claimed that the demand for change was visible on the ground, stating that many residents had expressed dissatisfaction with the current situation and were struggling with everyday challenges. He emphasized that defeating the Trinamool Congress leadership and the Chief Minister was, in his view, essential for restoring governance and public trust in the region.
