When will Vaibhav get a chance in the Indian senior team?

IIE DIGITAL DESK : Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the IPL title consecutively twice. Yet, after the tournament, the spotlight has been firmly on Vaibhav Suryavanshi. At just 15 years of age, this young sensation from Rajasthan Royals made history by winning the Orange Cap in the IPL. Following this performance, calls for Vaibhav’s inclusion in India’s senior cricket team have grown stronger, with former cricketers also backing him. But how long will Vaibhav have to wait for a call to the national team? On this, BCCI Secretary Debjeet Saikia has sent a clear message. He expressed that the board is satisfied with Vaibhav’s performance but has passed the final decision to Ajit Agarkar and the selection panel.

The BCCI Secretary elaborated that the selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, has closely monitored Suryavanshi’s IPL performances. Considering the future of Indian cricket and the interests of the national team, they will make the necessary decisions.

Vaibhav is now being hailed as India’s wonder kid. “I am confident that he will shine on the international stage in the future. Every selector on the board has observed his IPL matches. Most of them were present at the grounds and watched the games closely. Therefore, when the selection panel meets regarding India’s upcoming England tour, Vaibhav’s name will surely come up. The selectors will evaluate his performance and make the appropriate decision,” Saikia said.

Saikia also expressed his excitement about Suryavanshi. He noted that many players performed exceptionally well in the IPL, but Vaibhav stood out. Following this remark, one thing is clear: the BCCI is extremely impressed with the 15-year-old’s performances. Now, all eyes are on the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar, as cricket enthusiasts speculate whether they will give Suryavanshi a place in the Indian team immediately or wait a little longer.
