IIE DIGITAL DESK : Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to increase the prices of its upcoming smartphone lineup in India, including the Redmi Note 15 5G and Redmi 15 5G, according to a tipster report shared in the tech industry.

The leak suggests that the new Redmi models, which are expected to target the mid-range 5G segment in India, may arrive with a higher price tag compared to their predecessors. The development has raised interest among smartphone buyers who closely follow Xiaomi’s Redmi Note and Redmi digital series for budget-friendly 5G options.

The price hike is being linked to rising component costs, upgraded hardware specifications, and changing market dynamics in the smartphone industry. The Redmi Note series has traditionally been one of the strongest performers in India’s mid-range smartphone segment, offering a balance of performance, battery life, and camera features at competitive pricing.

Industry observers believe that if the price increase is implemented, it could impact buying decisions in the highly competitive sub-₹25,000 smartphone category, where brands like Realme, Samsung, iQOO, and Motorola are also aggressively expanding their presence.
