Sealing borders will be first priority if BJP comes to power: Dilip Ghosh

IIE DIGITAL DESK : Kharagpur, April 6: Senior BJP leader and Kharagpur Sadar candidate Dilip Ghosh on Monday asserted that sealing the international border would be the party’s first priority if the Bharatiya Janata Party comes to power in West Bengal.

Addressing reporters in Kharagpur, Ghosh claimed that more than one crore illegal infiltrators have already been identified and that the process of their removal is underway. He said that while action against illegal activities is ongoing across Bengal and other parts of the country, permanently securing and sealing the border is essential to prevent further infiltration.

“Once the BJP forms the government in West Bengal, sealing the border will be our top priority,” Ghosh said. He emphasized that strong border management is necessary to safeguard national security and restore administrative control.

During his interaction with the media, Ghosh also launched a sharp attack on the ruling All India Trinamool Congress. Alleging organizational weakness within the Trinamool Congress, he said the party relies solely on financial resources and lacks effective structure and grassroots strength.

“The Trinamool only has money. They have no real functionality, no proper organization, and no solid infrastructure,” he claimed. Ghosh further alleged that even sections of the state police are aware that political change is imminent and are acting cautiously in view of future developments.

The BJP leader maintained that people in West Bengal have been yearning for change for several years. “The last fifteen years have been extremely difficult. Bengal has fallen behind in every sector,” he said, arguing that the public mood now favors a shift in leadership.

The BJP represents the only credible alternative for governance in the state. He expressed confidence that voters are prepared to bring about a decisive political transformation in the upcoming elections.
