IIE DIGITAL DESK : Amaal Mallik, the well-known music composer and singer, has once again spoken out about his struggles within the Bollywood industry, making serious allegations about internal politics, professional sidelining, and personal intimidation. In his latest statement shared on social media, Mallik claimed that influential figures in the film industry have pushed him out of more than 60 film projects over the years, adding that his outspoken nature and refusal to conform to industry pressure have significantly affected his career.

The composer suggested that despite his family background in music and his own track record of hit songs, he has continued to face repeated setbacks in securing film work. According to his post, he alleged that between 2019 and 2026, he was removed from multiple projects, while he also admitted that he voluntarily turned down around 20 films, stating they did not align with his creative standards. He further expressed frustration that even success, talent, and industry connections have not protected him from what he described as a system driven by “powerful people” and group politics.

Mallik also claimed that the issue went beyond professional exclusion, alleging that his family had been indirectly threatened in connection with his career choices and outspoken remarks. He described the environment as being shaped by ego clashes and internal lobbying, suggesting that such pressures have led to reduced opportunities for him in mainstream Bollywood films.

Message, he also hinted at disappointment with the industry’s functioning, stating that despite speaking openly about his experiences, he continues to be sidelined. He urged audiences to support his independent music journey instead, indicating a shift in focus away from film-based compositions toward non-film and indie projects.
