The second school shooting in Thailand this year was also reported on Friday.
Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul expressed his sadness over the tragedy and emphasized the importance of taking measures to ensure public safety. Investigations are ongoing to determine how the student acquired the weapon and what led to the attack.
The school community and the wider country are mourning the loss of students and teachers, while questions about gun access and school safety remain a major public concern despite the ongoing investigation.
