Arjun Singh Takes Oath as Cabinet Minister, Calls for Building a ‘Golden Bengal’

Following the grand oath-taking ceremony at Lok Bhavan on Monday, he shared his emotions in a heartfelt message on X handle, expressing his sense of responsibility and commitment toward the people of the state.
In his X post, Arjun Singh wrote that receiving this significant responsibility has greatly increased his accountability toward the citizens of West Bengal. He expressed deep gratitude toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the central as well as state leadership of the BJP for their support. Additionally, he thanked the citizens of West Bengal for their wholehearted support and their democratic mandate that made this historic opportunity possible.
He emphasized that it was the strong backing of the general populace that ended the long-standing rule of the Trinamool Congress, allowing the BJP to now serve the people of the state. According to Arjun Singh, this victory does not belong to any single individual or party but symbolizes the aspirations of millions of West Bengal residents who sought change.
The newly appointed minister made it clear that the government’s work in the coming days will prioritize transparency, good governance, development, and public welfare. He highlighted that special focus will be given to employment generation, industrialization, farmer welfare, overall development of youth, and women empowerment.
Inspired by the ideals of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Arjun Singh also pledged to build a prosperous and strong ‘Golden Bengal,’ emphasizing that the vision of a developed and thriving West Bengal would guide his efforts as a cabinet minister.
