IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Kolkata, June 10: Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari visited the Ram Temple in New Town on Wednesday morning and offered special prayers seeking blessings for the nation, the people of West Bengal, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit took place amid celebrations marking Prime Minister Modi’s historic achievement of becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister.

Several prominent leaders accompanied Adhikari during the religious ceremony, including state minister Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay, BJP state general secretary Locket Chatterjee, and Tarunjyoti Tiwari, among others. The leaders participated in various rituals at the temple and joined devotees in offering prayers.

Adhikari performed traditional worship and took part in a yajna conducted within the temple premises. According to those present, special prayers were offered for the long life, good health, and continued success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ceremony was attended by party workers, supporters, and local residents who gathered at the temple to witness the occasion.

The Ram Temple, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari spoke about his hopes and aspirations for the country. He stated that he had prayed to Lord Ram for India's continued progress and development and expressed his wish that the nation would emerge as a “Vishwaguru” or global leader in the years ahead. He emphasized that India’s rise on the international stage should be accompanied by prosperity, peace, and welfare for all its citizens.

Adhikari also highlighted his commitment to the people of West Bengal, stating that the welfare and well-being of every resident of the state remain his highest priority. He said that irrespective of political differences, the interests of the people must always come first and that development, social harmony, and public welfare should remain the central focus of governance.

The temple visit and prayer ceremony came at a time when leaders across the country have been congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on achieving a historic political milestone. Supporters described the event as a symbolic gesture of gratitude and hope, reflecting aspirations for the nation’s future and the continued progress of the state.
