The notification, the Governor of West Bengal has been pleased to declare May 28, 2026 (Thursday) as a public holiday in observance of Eid-Ud-Zoha. The order also includes a revision of earlier holiday notifications issued for the festival period.

The statement further clarifies that the previously declared holidays for May 26, 2026 (Tuesday) and May 27, 2026 (Wednesday) have now been withdrawn.
