IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Kolkata, June 1: State minister Dilip Ghosh has strongly dismissed allegations made by Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee that he was attacked, asserting that the claims have no basis in reality. According to Ghosh, everyone present witnessed the incident and could clearly see that no one pushed or assaulted Kalyan Banerjee.

Monday morning, Dilip Ghosh rejected the allegations and questioned the credibility of the claims. He stated that people had previously witnessed what he described as similar behavior by Kalyan Banerjee in Parliament and were now seeing it in other places as well. Ghosh remarked that such actions no longer attract serious attention from the public and suggested that very few people attach importance to the statements being made by the Trinamool Congress leader.

Ghosh said that Kalyan Banerjee is a senior political leader as well as an experienced lawyer, but claimed that complaints regarding his conduct have existed for a long time. According to the minister, there is considerable public resentment against the Trinamool MP, and he alleged that Banerjee's behavior has repeatedly drawn criticism from various quarters.

Dilip Ghosh further commented that Kalyan Banerjee should remain cautious about his personal security and be mindful while moving in public. He argued that the allegations of being attacked did not match what was visible to those present and described the episode as unnecessary drama. Ghosh concluded by saying that such actions do not suit a politician of Banerjee's stature and experience.

The remarks come amid political controversy surrounding Kalyan Banerjee's allegations, adding another chapter to the ongoing exchange of accusations and counter-accusations between political leaders in West Bengal. While Banerjee had claimed that he was attacked, Dilip Ghosh has categorically denied the allegation and maintained that no such incident took place.
