“Two Arrested in Egg Attack on Kunal Ghosh”
IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Kolkata, June 16: The incident of eggs being hurled at MLA Kunal Ghosh outside former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s residence in Kalighat, police have arrested two individuals. The arrests were made on Tuesday morning by officers of the Kalighat Police Station.
The accused have been identified as Ravi Kayal and Chandan Kayal.
The incident occurred on Monday evening when eggs were thrown targeting Kunal Ghosh. The MLA later lodged a formal complaint at the police station the same night. He strongly condemned the attack on Monday itself.
Kunal Ghosh stated that he had earlier opposed incidents of attacks on BJP leaders and workers when similar situations arose. He also asserted that he is not afraid of such attacks and will continue his political activities without fear.
