IIE DIGITAL DESK ; New Delhi, June 29: Bollywood fitness icon Malaika Arora has once again inspired fitness enthusiasts by sharing glimpses of her latest gym session, showcasing a series of advanced core-strengthening exercises. Known for her disciplined lifestyle and unwavering commitment to health, the actor shared a video of her workout on social media with the caption, “Train, train some more, and then some more,” highlighting the consistency that has defined her fitness journey over the years.

The workout video features Malaika performing a variety of challenging functional exercises, including half-kneeling cable resistance movements and gymnastic ring rows, both of which demand exceptional core stability, balance and muscular coordination. Unlike traditional gym routines that focus on isolated muscle groups, her training combines strength, flexibility, mobility and body awareness to improve overall physical fitness.

Fitness expert and consultant dietitian Garima Goyal explained that the most impressive aspect of Malaika's workout routine is its emphasis on functional fitness. According to the expert, functional exercises engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously, helping improve posture, coordination and movement efficiency while preparing the body for everyday physical activities. Such workouts not only build strength but also make the body more resilient and reduce the likelihood of injuries.

Another defining feature of Malaika's fitness routine is her strong focus on core engagement. Whether through Pilates-inspired movements, bodyweight exercises or stability-based training, the core remains central to almost every exercise she performs. A strong core supports spinal health, enhances balance, improves posture and significantly lowers the risk of lower back pain, making it an essential component of long-term physical fitness.

The expert further noted that Malaika's training philosophy extends beyond strength-building. Her workouts also prioritise mobility and flexibility, two areas that are often overlooked in conventional exercise programmes. Maintaining healthy joint mobility becomes increasingly important with age, as it promotes pain-free movement, reduces stiffness and allows individuals to remain active for longer periods.

Regular exercise of this nature also delivers significant metabolic benefits. According to the expert, consistent physical activity improves insulin sensitivity, supports cardiovascular health and contributes to better hormonal balance. These health advantages go far beyond physical appearance, playing a vital role in healthy ageing and overall well-being.

Perhaps the biggest lesson from Malaika Arora's fitness journey is not the complexity of the exercises she performs but the consistency with which she trains. Experts emphasise that lasting fitness results are rarely achieved through occasional intense workouts. Instead, long-term health and physical transformation are built through years of regular exercise, gradual improvement and making movement an integral part of everyday life.

Health professionals also advise that advanced core exercises should be attempted under proper supervision, especially by beginners or individuals with existing injuries or medical conditions. Consulting a qualified fitness trainer or healthcare professional before starting any new workout programme can help minimise the risk of injury while ensuring that exercises are performed safely and effectively.
