IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Nashik/Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, May 8 : The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) conversion and harassment case in Nashik, Maharashtra, police have arrested the prime accused Nida Khan after she had been absconding for several days. She was detained late Thursday night from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar following a coordinated operation by the Nashik Special Investigation Team (SIT), the city crime branch, and local police authorities.

Khan had been evading arrest since her name surfaced in the ongoing investigation, prompting disciplinary action from the company, which reportedly suspended her following the allegations. She is now being taken to Nashik under transit remand after undergoing a medical examination.

Police sources said that Khan had been staying in a rented flat in Kaisar Colony in Naregaon for the past four days, where she was reportedly living with family members, including her parents, aunt, and other relatives. Surveillance had been placed on the location for the past two days before the arrest was executed.

The case involves serious allegations including sexual harassment, mental abuse, and attempted religious conversion of employees at the TCS Nashik centre. Khan has been identified as one of the central figures in the alleged racket. While she was not officially designated as an HR head, investigators claim she was effectively performing HR-related duties after joining the company as a telecaller.

The complaint alleges that she led a group accused of promoting coercive practices within the workplace, including attempts to pressure female employees into religious conversion and imposing specific religious practices. It has also been alleged that some employees were forced into following dietary restrictions and cultural practices against their will.

The FIR in the case has been filed by multiple female employees aged between 18 and 25, who have alleged harassment spanning two to three years. Authorities have confirmed that six individuals have already been arrested in connection with the case, including employees holding engineering and other technical positions within the company.

Those previously arrested include Asif Ansari, Shafi Sheikh, Shah Rukh Qureshi, Raja Memon, Tausif Attar, and Ashwin Chainani. Police have indicated that the investigation is ongoing and that more individuals could be questioned or arrested depending on emerging evidence.

Officials stated that the arrest of Nida Khan marks a major development in the case, and further interrogation is expected to shed light on the alleged internal network and the extent of the reported misconduct within the organisation.
