IIE DIGITAL DESK ; New Delhi, June 12: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Uttarakhand on Friday for a two-day official visit. Security arrangements have been significantly tightened in Dehradun in view of the President’s visit. Upon her arrival at Jolly Grant Airport, she was warmly received by Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Minister Madan Kaushik, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, and Director General of Police Deepam Seth, who presented her with a bouquet.

Part of her scheduled programme, the President will visit Rashtrapati Niketan in Dehradun on Friday. During the visit, she will review the construction and development work of the modern ‘Rashtrapati Udyan’ being developed across a vast 132-acre area at Ashiana complex. The project is being developed as a significant presidential estate upgrade with enhanced facilities and landscaped gardens.

Saturday, President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to attend the Passing Out Parade at the Indian Military Academy (IMA). She will be the Chief Guest at the Spring Term 2026 Passing Out Parade held at the prestigious military institution in Dehradun. The President will inspect the parade and participate in the ceremonial proceedings marking the completion of training for cadets.
