Bhopal: Allegedly, three men pretended to be forest department officials and raped dozens of a 20-year-old NEET candidate from Satny in Uttar Pradesh's Chitrakoot district in the Devangana Valley. The occurrence happened at approximately 3:00 pm. During the PM on Wednesday, while studying in Kota, the woman traveled with her 17-year-old friend who was a Class 12 student she had connected with online. They were both in the beautiful valley.

The police had first reported on a First Information Report that the duo arrived at the hilltop on their motorcycles. Three men on a motorcycle approached them while they were sitting nearby, pretending to be members of the forest department. After questioning the duo, the men proceeded to assault the 17-year-old boy with a belt. Afterward, the attackers bound his hands and feet with a cloth (gamchha), leaving him vulnerable.

Afterward, the assailants pulled the young lady into nearby shrubbery and sexually assaulted her in groups of four, warning them that they would knock her off the cliff should she sound any noise or raise an alarm. The victim was found unharmed when his son attempted to break free from their attack. He descended the hilltop due to a lack of mobile network signal, but he eventually got reception and dialed the emergency police. A police unit arrived shortly after and transported both individuals to a nearby medical center. The incident occurred within hours of the shooting. Following medical testing, the survivor was treated while the boy was released to seek treatment for his injuries.

Chitrakoot police have two special investigation teams, Police are reviewing CCTV footage from roads leading out of the valley, which shows three men on a motorcycle that was seen fleeing the scene. Two suspects are being sought, but one has been taken into custody for questioning. Local witnesses' statements have been recorded by investigators, and senior police officials, including the Additional Director General of Police (Prayagraj Zone), have visited the crime scene to supervise the ongoing investigation.
