IIE DIGITAL DESK ; June 19: Samsung has officially teased the upcoming launch of its new mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy M47 5G, in India, signalling that the device is set to debut soon in the highly competitive budget 5G segment. The teaser reveals early design details along with expected specifications, availability information, and key feature highlights, building anticipation ahead of its official launch.

The company’s teaser and early listings, the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G will feature a refreshed design language for the M-series, including a modern flat-frame build and a redesigned rear camera module. The smartphone is shown in a deep red or crimson finish with metallic accents around the camera rings and frame, giving it a more premium appearance compared to previous models in the series.

The device is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup placed inside a pill-shaped camera island on the top-left corner of the back panel. The right side of the handset is likely to house the power button, which is also expected to integrate a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, along with volume controls.

Under the hood, the Galaxy M47 5G is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is also expected to support expandable storage via microSD card, allowing up to 1TB of additional space. Reports further suggest that the device may ship with Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box, offering Samsung’s latest software experience.

Recent certification and benchmarking listings indicate that Samsung is positioning the Galaxy M47 5G as a performance-focused mid-range device aimed at younger users, with improvements in multitasking, efficiency, and durability. The handset is also expected to be sold via Amazon India and Samsung’s official online store once it goes on sale.

The Galaxy M47 5G is likely to compete in the sub-₹25,000 smartphone segment, one of the most aggressive and competitive categories in the Indian market, where it will face strong competition from brands such as Realme, iQOO, Motorola, and others.

While Samsung has not yet announced an exact launch date or confirmed full specifications, the ongoing teaser campaign and online listings strongly suggest that the official unveiling is imminent, with further details expected to be revealed in the coming days.
