Schools and Madrasas in Malda Begin Classes with ‘Vande Mataram’ Following Government Directive
IIE DIGITAL DESK ; Malda, June 1: The summer vacation, schools in Malda reopened on Monday and, in accordance with government instructions, commenced academic activities with the singing of the patriotic song Vande Mataram. Similar to other districts in West Bengal, students and teachers in various schools and madrasas across Malda gathered in the morning to sing ‘Vande Mataram,’ marking the official start of the new academic session. The day’s proceedings formally began with the rendition of the national anthem, followed by regular classroom activities.
The century-old and historically significant Malda Model Madrasa, students, teachers, and staff collectively participated in singing ‘Vande Mataram’ in the school premises. The morning assembly created a patriotic atmosphere and instilled a sense of national pride as the academic day officially commenced. Enthusiasm and excitement were visibly reflected among the students as they engaged in the ceremony.
School authorities stated that the initiative was carried out in strict adherence to the government directive and expressed their support for the decision. The headmaster of the madrasa, Mozaffar Ahmed, highlighted that such initiatives play a positive role in nurturing respect for the nation and fostering awareness of national values among students. He added that the school consistently endeavors to cultivate patriotism and constitutional values in its student body.
The first day of implementing the government directive was successfully carried out across various educational institutions in Malda in a peaceful and orderly manner. The initiative has been widely welcomed as a step toward promoting national consciousness and reinforcing the importance of civic and patriotic education in schools and madrasas throughout the district.
