Eligible applicants will receive a one-time financial assistance of ₹3,000 directly into their registered bank accounts. The announcement has generated widespread anticipation among beneficiaries who have been waiting for confirmation that their applications were successfully approved.
Just 24 hours before the scheduled fund transfer, uncertainty has grown among applicants as the government has made it clear that only those whose documents have been found to be completely accurate during the scrutiny process and whose bank accounts have active Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) linkage will receive the payment in this phase. Applicants with incomplete verification or technical issues may not receive the financial assistance until their records are corrected.
To eliminate confusion and prevent misinformation, the state government has enabled a real-time application tracking facility through the Social Security Portal. Beneficiaries can now check the status of their applications from home using a smartphone or computer by completing OTP verification. The portal displays different application statuses, allowing applicants to immediately know whether they are eligible for payment.
Applicants whose status appears as "Approved," "Verified," or "Payment Processed" have successfully cleared the government's verification process. Their documents have been accepted, and the Direct Benefit Transfer process has already been initiated. These beneficiaries are expected to receive the ₹3,000 payment directly into their bank accounts on or from July 1 without any further action.
Applicants whose status displays "Pending Verification" are still undergoing document review because officials have identified certain discrepancies or require additional verification. If this verification process is not completed before the July 1 deadline, these applicants will not receive the first installment of financial assistance and may have to wait for a later payment cycle after verification is completed.
Those whose applications show "Rejected" have had their applications cancelled because authorities detected incorrect information, fake documents, or other major discrepancies during scrutiny. These applicants will not receive the ₹3,000 assistance in the current phase and will remain ineligible unless the government provides an opportunity for correction or fresh application.
Authorities have also issued an important technical advisory regarding Direct Benefit Transfer. Even if an applicant's status is shown as "Approved," the payment may still fail if the beneficiary's Aadhaar is not properly linked with the bank account or if the Direct Benefit Transfer facility has not been activated by the bank. Since the scheme operates entirely through the DBT mechanism rather than ordinary bank transfers, an inactive or improperly linked account could cause the transaction to be automatically rejected by the system despite application approval.
Beneficiaries have therefore been advised to immediately verify that their Aadhaar number is correctly linked to their bank account and that DBT services are fully active before the payment process begins. Completing these formalities is essential to ensure that the financial assistance reaches their accounts without delay.
The July 1 payment date approaching, millions of applicants have started visiting the Social Security Portal through their mobile phones to verify their application status. The large-scale digital verification exercise is being regarded as one of the biggest digital welfare verification campaigns undertaken by the state government, with officials urging beneficiaries to rely only on the official portal for updates and avoid rumours or misleading information circulating on social media.
